There is no superimmunity in COVID-19

3

Natural immunity is about precision, not too much or too little. Just enough to get the desired effect. Therefore, can vaccination on top of natural immunity make this better? Big question in COVID-19.

There are individuals who do not seem to get infected with SARS-COV2 and it appears to be superimmunity. In reality they just have a strong mucosal immune response to the virus.

This immune ability is just about the fact that SARS-COV2 is unable to evade interferon (first immune response to viral infection which stops cells making new virus) in the nose and therefore cannot replicate.

It is imperative to understand how SARS-COV2 causes severe disease in order to appropriately intervene.

The answer lies in SARS-COV and MERS research done prior to this pandemic.
