My question is when a variant appears in somebody's body that is able to escape the protection in the lungs provided by the non-neutralizing antibodies, will that variant become dominant also in the upper respiratory? I imagine that new variant might simply migrate into the lungs and blood where older variants struggle to go, but the upper respiratory might continue to be dominated by older variants. Thus that infected person will mostly spread the older variants to other people even though his lungs and blood are infected with the new variant.
This seems to be a missing step in Geert's proof that I wish could be clarified for laypeople like me.
EDIT: I think my question is answered at the 27 minute mark in the video. Geert says non-neutralizing antibodies serve two purposes - viral clearance and protection in the lungs. The viral clearance is the new area of competition between variants, and that has the side effect of increasing virulence in the lungs.
Does Bob L ‘s commentary needs to be reversed about the behaviour of variants. The new variant Omicron, now stabilised everywhere, stays mostly in the URT explaining its easy spread and mild disease presentations. The older variant, say delta, might have infused into the lungs and blood, explaining severe illness, long covid effects and presence of blood clots etc in some patients in whom the older variants have stayed on in levels sufficient to cause all these. The new variant Omicron dominating in the URT could also be a totally new virus, not exactly a variant of SARS cov-2. Lung, blood issues could be from the vaccines too, not due to residual presence of older variants.
I don't understand what you wrote to be honest, but you might be correct. Also you might have misunderstood what I wrote, but I'm not certain of that either. I'm a layperson, so I probably have a lot of things wrong.
I am also a lay person on this subject, even though I (now 78) is an old PhD in organic chemistry, never worked in medicines and took to reading medicinal chemistry in the last few years in retirement out of interest. On your comment, I took Omicron as the new variant and something like Delta as the old variant. That is how the roles get reversed on what you said. New variant stays in URT and the old variant, having stayed longer in the body, can be in the lungs and blood stream. The old variant is also more pathogenic (disease causing), and in low resident concentrations can cause long covid symptoms. In the 20 months it has been around, Omicron itself has spawned many variants, labelled as alphabets and numbers, but the behaviour has remained the same. Not the kind of big difference we saw between Delta and Omicron. The present concern in the highly vaccinated West is not the illness from fresh infections, but the lingering illness from the past, long covid. If you have been following the other presentations by Dr. McMillan, you will know that this lingering illness from the past could be caused by vaccine remnants or virus remnants, not directly but by hurting body’s immune mechanisms.
In my comment, both the old and new variants were omicron, but I think I kind of understand what you are saying too. There are so many experts with so many different ideas that I don't understand. I'm pretty confused.

Actually, we should look at this pandemic as two distinct parts, with clear, large difference between the two. Part 1 is 2020 and 2021, upto delta. There were a dozen variants in this part too, all highly pathogenic. Only a few were named alpha, beta, gamma, delta etc, needlessly so. Delta, which reigned the whole of 2021 was the most sickening of all causing mayhem everywhere. Whether this behaviour was part of natural evolution or was it a response to its face off with non stop vaccines - remains an open question. It was the first variant to face vaccines. Omicron, since Jan 2022, is part 2 of the pandemic, distinctly different in its biology and behaviour. Like those in Part 1 of the pandemic, Omicron variants too have remained close knit. No one explains why it was decided to call all of them omicron, though it was a sensible decision. Through the naming decisions of 2020 and 2021 cannot be reversed now, we, the common people should consider those two years as just one variant based. I feel that the retention of Omicron nomenclature for the past 20 months is an unsaid, uncomfortable admission by the formal experts that Omicron is a new virus from the same family, from human origins. I'll be there. Thanks. I talked to Gert once on Zoom. I asked him about Omicron's evolving phylogeny as it was coming out of South Africa. It was difficult to explain the genetic deviations from the prior variants at the time. Omicron was "to new."
I listened to it live. Maybe I need to listen to it again but I did not hear anything new from Geert. It sounded very much more of the same - something terrible may happen at some point in the future. Did I miss something specific?
I don't want to rubbish him. I think he is one of the true heroes in all of this. I know many people did not take the jabs partly because of his warnings - myself included. It is also hard to write this without coming across as "Why aren't all the jabbed dying yet? I don't want that - I have many people I love and care about who are jabbed - just as no sane, decent person wants that. I hope Geert's predictions do not come true obviously. Yet whenever I think of, or hear, Geert I can't help but wonder when - if that makes any sense? Perhaps it is just Human Nature. I seem to be stuck in a loop of waiting for terrible things to happen - worse than what is already happening. Always find it hard to follow Geert...I will rewatch but he admits there is a delay in his prediction due to the immune system -wish they would have focused more on what that reason was. Also, didn’t seem very clear why, if vaccinee’s antibody titers are waning, why can’t these peoples innate immune systems help kick into gear and help neutralize the virus? Is it because the vaccine somehow overrides the innate immune system permanently when spike proteins from the virus enter the body and keep that response from happening?
I had a similar question and my only answer as a lay person is that through immune imprinting via previous shots, that “original antigenic sin” comes into play. The immune response gets stuck on the same song it first ‘heard’ with the first shot, and subsequent shots only reinforce this imprinting. Geert seemed to come up with an “immune refocusing” theory to help explain the delay occurring with his most dire predictions not coming to fruition… yet. I hope he is still wrong. I am unvaxxed, but we all know lots of people who took 2-5 shots. I know several with turbo cancers right now and three more who have already died of their turbo cancers. I know one person who had a stroke, one who got a fast-onset dementia and died, and it’s very, very scary.
Mel, thank you - this is helpful. I am sorry for all those you know and that I think most of us know that have suffered due to the initial onslaught of this illness as well as from the shots. I think the numbers are vastly underreported, and sadly I fear we are going to see many more, even if Geert’s most dire prediction does not come to pass. Even though I don’t understand his hypothesis well enough, I can see how it could happen. The longer covid circulates, the more I fear he is right. I plan on loading up on antivirals so that if the worst happens, we are prepared to help as many as we can.

Omicron is a new virus from the same family though. It’s rapid spread and mild presentations have brought about herd immunity in many countries with low incidence of fresh vaccinations in 2022. Fresh rounds of vaccinations in the West is not allowing the herd immunity to gain hold there. This is the story so far. But fresh vaccinations have already screeched to a halt even there, largely a decision by the public. By end 2023, one can expect settled conditions here also, once the remnant vaccine effects have disappeared. So, covid-19 is on course to exit from public scene. Attempts to make an annual flu scene out of covid would stand rejected by the public. Fresh continuing infections must be seen as herd immunity taking hold in places where it was getting continuously disturbed.
Theres no graphene in the shots. If you want to get graphene you can wear a mask that was made with a graphene filter. There are apparently a lot of impurities in the shots, in the form of smaller RNA and bits of the bacteria they used to grow the RNA - see Sasha Latypova's substack for details.
However you can get exposed to spikes through exosome shedding from those who got the shots. Your innate immune system should be able to handle mucosal exposure to such spikes.
Okay i watched and listened to that. The professor does not say how these alleged bio-nano machines work, nor does he allege that they have built any in real life. He repeats your quoted line about 3 times and then moves on to things he actually knows about, which are teraherz communications and engineering (and nothing about biology). He spends most of the talk on problems with the technology, and what comes out is that it cannot transmit/receive much further than 1 metre (so it needs a massive mesh to retransmit packets) and would require a lot of new materials and equipment and network protocols that havent been built yet.

I somewhat question the venom hypothesis. Venom makes you bleed like crazy, whereas covid/vaccines tend to blood clotting.
