I had a similar question and my only answer as a lay person is that through immune imprinting via previous shots, that “original antigenic sin” comes into play. The immune response gets stuck on the same song it first ‘heard’ with the first shot, and subsequent shots only reinforce this imprinting. Geert seemed to come up with an “immune refocusing” theory to help explain the delay occurring with his most dire predictions not coming to fruition… yet. I hope he is still wrong. I am unvaxxed, but we all know lots of people who took 2-5 shots. I know several with turbo cancers right now and three more who have already died of their turbo cancers. I know one person who had a stroke, one who got a fast-onset dementia and died, and it’s very, very scary.
Mel, thank you - this is helpful. I am sorry for all those you know and that I think most of us know that have suffered due to the initial onslaught of this illness as well as from the shots. I think the numbers are vastly underreported, and sadly I fear we are going to see many more, even if Geert’s most dire prediction does not come to pass. Even though I don’t understand his hypothesis well enough, I can see how it could happen. The longer covid circulates, the more I fear he is right. I plan on loading up on antivirals so that if the worst happens, we are prepared to help as many as we can.
