There was information in the international literature about a 2-3 time increase in insulin dependent diabetes after recovery from the virus. As a board certified physician in aerospace medicine (USAF, 1981), I fully concur with Dr. Long's assessment of the risks/benefits to active duty military personnel from the virus and the vaccine.
