Those who walk forward against the hail of mockery, defamation, threats and lies, to establish truth, to establish trust, to establish humanity once again in the seething sea of lies and contemptuous behaviour that has characterised the struggle to establish medical ethics after it was lost on the rocky cliffs of COVID-19.
We witnessed the complete failure and withdrawal of primary care and practising physicians respectively from the beginning to the end of the pandemic. All in response to the false narration and fear created by the system. Waiting for a miracle cure or vaccine.
On the other hand responsible care providers like Peter and Sankara identified the need for early intervention and prevention of hospitalisation of those with symptoms and high risk of mortality. When the pathetic system was focusing on PPEs, isolation, and shutting down clinics offering primary care. Therefore, they deserved recognition and applaud rather than isolation and ban.
In fact on the hind sight if the early intervention and primary care was strengthened and promoted, we could definetly averted the disastrous outcome in terms of mortality. alarming rates of long covid health burden and economic crisis
500 vaccines per person ! Most people I know will never be vaccinated again. Yet others are on their seventh covid vaccine.
Regarding doctors, I feel sorry for doctors that have spent a large part of their lives, to only now find out that the system that they are in has made them in effect drug pushers and not healers. Doctors need to push back now before it is too late.
