Dr. Richard Bartlett, from Texas and famous for early covid treatment with Budesonide, was concerned about rising syphilis cases as well. I'm from the two counties, aka reservations, where this increase is being seen the most in the US but they won't employmee me to do the testing because they still have mandates in place : ( My relative is a director of the testing programs and her organization recently made a syphilis awareness commercial that aired during the Superbowl (I've been an actress for her org's commercials in the past). I asked her what her epidemiology dept said about the timing of these rise in infections and she stated that it has occured in the last two years, especially in woman and infants, and they are "baffled" as to why.

Interesting article. Similar story with diseases like Polio which was all but wiped out in the US but has made a resurgence. The speculation is immigrants from other countries aren't vaccinated against Polio, so have no immunity. Too bad we no longer utilize the Scientific Method to investigate causes.
