This is something to share with your pro-vax friends – why it’s ok to change your mind about Covid vaccines.
As science and available information evolve, so too can views and decisions. Absolute statements about safety and efficacy of vaccines early in the vaccination program were unreasonable given the time it takes to assess these characteristics thoroughly, but assurances were what so many wanted or needed to hear at that time - that’s understandable.
It’s time to move on with the science.
In fact, research on Covid has been taking place continually since the start of the pandemic. I am one of the published researchers, delving into the pathophysiology, and utilising it to understand clinical patterns and to identify diagnostics and treatments.
Our views don’t change the science of the Covid vaccine, but our grasp of the science, which naturally evolves, can change our views. That’s also understandable.
It is impressive that Scott Adams came out and said the comments in the tweet below:
You may take some heat when you try to explain your changing views to family, friends or colleagues. It may be hard to avoid this entirely as emotions are involved and some feel that loyalty of opinion is more important than having a strong basis for decision.
We all have permission to change our minds as we get better information. Informed decision-making - what’s not to like?
I think actor Tim Robbins is a more sincere & humble example of mind-change. This Adams guy attributes informed decisions to decline the jab w/ “luck”.
Thanks for sharing this important topic especially if there is another big Push Autumn Winter 2023
