In Northern Ireland, a province of the UK, October 2024 total deaths was the highest October total in modern records. The first three quarters of 2024 was the highest such period on record.
Even worse in my opinion, November Live Births (as distinct from miscarriages, stillbirths and neonatal deaths) was the lowest in modern records - 16% below the previous November low in 2018, and 30% below the previous high in 2010.
