Severe COVID-19 is associated with interferon autoantibodies

Interferon autoantibodies were found by the NIH (link in comments) in up to 10% of severe cases of COVID-19. This had been puzzling for me as it fit within the paradigm of viral-mediated autoimmunity, but I could not initially find any connection between interferon and serum ACE-2.
