Interpretation
Although rare, a statistically significant association between BNT162b2 vaccination and myo/pericarditis and AKI was observed. While the association between BNT162b2 and myo/pericarditis has been confirmed internationally, further research is required to understand the association of AKI. (AKI = Acute Kidney Injury)

The critical protein that could be involved in the autoimmune response is ACE-2
Autoantibodies to ACE-2 could damage the small arteries going into the glomerulus. Additionally, it could lead to inflammation in the glomeruli because ACE-2 is also on the these cells (podocytes).

The longer term implications over the next 5 to 10 years are extremely concerning.
Since a large percentage of elderly people already suffer chronic kidney problems (I'm one) this is particularly concerning for us increasingly targetted "useless eaters".
Dr. McMillan, There are studies of vaccine induced heart damage rates much higher than this study, I believe the study out of Thailand is an example. There are other studies concluding the heart damage post COVID-19 infection rates are higher than from the vaccine. Is the some literature that can clarify the risks of myo/pericarditis due to the vaccine versus covid-19? As well as the severity of the injuries caused by both the vaccine and covid-19.
